· understanding the sound system

· developing an alphabet
· writing primers to teach Suri literacy
· starting literacy classes
Mike writes; "To date, we have published a Suri-English-Amharic dictionary, Suri-English-Amharic language learning book, a small book on animals and one book teaching numbers 1-10, started translating Luke (completed chapters 1-5) and a few other scripture portions including the Lord's prayer. Our most recent publication is a translation of Tyndale's 'The Bible for Little Eyes' into Suri."
