How can  I help with the Ethiopia Partnership right now?

You can help right now by praying earnestly for the Suri people.  Pray that God would open their hearts and minds and receive the gospel (good news) of Jesus Christ.

What is a "People Group"?

The largest group within which the gospel can spread as a church-planting movement without encountering barriers of understanding or acceptance.  These barriers may be due to a different language, culture, caste, or even just that for some historical reason , one group sees itself as different from another and does not associate with or intermarry with the other.

What is an "animist religion"?

Animists worship their deceased ancestors and live in fear of them.

What is the next thing on our church agenda for adopting the Suri ?

Over the coming year, two teams will go to Ethiopia representing Trinity.  They will go to Ethiopia and meet with the Southwest Bethel Synod leadership and work with them as partners to reach out to the Suri people.  They will also go to  the villages and meet with some of the Suri so we may begin to build  relationships with them.  Over the next several years we will get to know the Suri and share with them about the redemptive plan God has for them  through our Lord, Jesus Christ.
